Refractory Castables

Refractory Castables (Heat Resistant Concretes)

Refractory castables consist of suitably graded aggregates and hydraulic cements in proportions formulated to achieve certain desired properties for the particular end use. They require only the addition of clean water either by hand or mechanical mixing or during pneumatic gunning to form a heat resistant concrete piece or structure.

1350 CASTABLE

A high temperature, high strength refractory castable comprised of hydraulic setting high alumina cements and dense, hard refractory aggregate.

1450 CASTABLE

A high temperature, high strength refractory castable comprised of hydraulic setting high alumina cements and hard, stable refractory aggregate.

1600 CASTABLE

A very high temperature, high strength refractory castable comprised of low iron content, high alumina hydraulic setting cements and hard stable refractory aggregate.
